WHAT ARE mantraS ?

Sound has been used for thousands of years across all mystical traditions to  uplift the spirit, calm the mind, and ultimately, encounter the Self. In the yogic system, God is Sound... or Sound is God.  The Yoga of Resonance draws on this tradition and uses sound, and particularly mantra, as a tool for transformation.  

Despite its ancient roots, mantra and chanting are practices that are powerful and still relevant for people today. Chanting calms the over-stimulated mind, and refuels energy reserves. Go deeper and sound acts as a resonator which starts to dissolve blockages within the subtle body. Go deeper still and sound will lead one into deep states of relaxed absorption to encounter the Self. As we chant or speak mantras, we are pulled back through various energetic levels towards the source of sound itself: the goal of all yogas.
