There are many levels, layers, and dimensions around the practice and understanding of mantra. Whether you are a complete beginner or are aiming to deepen your yoga or meditation practice, I can help. My effort is to study, practice, and teach the authentic tradition with a deeper understanding that goes beyond what is often accepted.
Most people try to study mantra off the internet, books, or a one-off workshop. But to reap the full benefits, a mantra should be received from someone empowered within the tradition. I have learned this is when the real transformation happens. Additionally, the power of a mantra lies in its accurate pronunciation.
During a Private Session with me, you are personally guided in the healing experience of sacred sound practice so you can learn to:
• open up the inner channels within the body
• discover the energetic power behind words
• have a powerful method to calm the mind
• use mantra to work with difficult emotions
• chant yourself into calm as a meditative practice.

The people I work with using mantra

1) Meditators (Various Disciplines): Learn mantras for meditation. We all know that meditation is important to de-stress and to cultivate mindfulness. But is there more to meditation than relaxation and peak performance? Mantra meditation is perhaps the oldest form of meditation on the planet. Mantras almost magnetically draw us back towards the original Unity-state that the mantra originally arose from. Mantras are a form of protection, protecting the soul, while at the same time helping us go beyond our limitations. Mantras can also address our karmic issues, negative bonds that bind us to old, outmoded energies. The vibrations of mantras can dissolve energy blockages that have stagnated for years, helping free up our energies to focus on what truly matters to us in the present. Mantras have been used for thousands of years for healing and enlightenment.

2) Yogis (Teachers and Practitioners): While mantra is a word well known to yoga practitioners and teachers, there is a lack of deep understanding of this tradition among western yogi(ni)s. Originally, Yoga and mantra were closely partnered, a partnership that separated during the course of history and is now seeking to reestablish itself. Learn mantras from the Vedic, Tantric, and Bhakti traditions to chant in your classes. Familiarize yourself with Sanskrit as a mystical tool to awaken the body/mind. Chant mantras to fuel your physical practice. Mantras are considered by some to be the source of Hatha Yoga... discover why this is so!!

3) Healers (Various Modalities): If you are a healer, you know the importance of self-care. Mantras are a powerful form of self-care because they help release powerful spiritual energies from within ourselves. Learn how to tap deep states of healing through mantra, cleanse the subtle body through the practice of vibration, and infuse your being with Consciousness... simply with your own voice!

4) Parents: Create harmony in your family. Mantras can be an accessible yet powerful tool to use with children to help configure their energy. Mantras can encode, for example, states of peacefulness, focus, or confidence and empower children to effectively shift their emotional state. In using simple mantras with my daughter, we have fewer sleep issues, diminished anxiety and enhanced calm. They also serve as a bridge between parent and child, promoting harmony as family members entrain to each other. Most importantly, you are providing your child with tools to access peacefulness and presence - their deepest Self. (To learn about the effect on children, please read my blog entry here.)
